All-On-Four Implant Technique

All-On-Four Implant Technique

It is an implant technique that allows a temporary fixed prosthesis to be attached to the patient's mouth on the same day or within 48 hours, together with the application of 4 implants to a single jaw, which is applied to patients who do not have teeth or who need all their teeth to be removed. Specially designed implants and spacers are used. After the surgery, a permanent prosthesis is made in a period of 3 to 6 months (according to the variables of the surgery). These prostheses can be acrylic (plastic), metal - porcelain, peek or peek - zirconia combination.

Prostheses may vary according to aesthetic expectations and financial possibilities. The biggest advantage of the system is that the patient can reach the tooth directly. The patient's teeth should not create the perception that he can do anything. In the post-operative period, especially smoking, alcohol consumption and foods that require too much chewing movements should be avoided. Another advantage is that, since screwable prostheses are used, they can be easily disassembled and checked by your physician during routine annual controls. The criteria for all-on-four are that your health status is suitable for the implant and that the anatomical structures allow the technique. If necessary, 2 more implants can be added to the system and the all-on-six method can be started.
